Moshimo Affiliate setup

How to route your Amazon, Rakuten Ichiba and Yahoo! Shopping links through Moshimo Affiliate. All three marketplaces are supported.

This page is optional If you are registered directly with each marketplace's affiliate programme, you do not need Moshimo at all. Skip this page.

What changes when you route through Moshimo

Only one thing changes: where the reader lands when they press a button. The card looks the same, product search works the same way, and the shortcode saved in your post is unchanged.

The usual reasons to use Moshimo:

  • Your Amazon Associates application was not approved. If you can partner with Moshimo's “Amazon.co.jp product purchase” programme, you can still show Amazon buttons.
  • You want your earnings in one place. Commissions that would otherwise be scattered across three programmes arrive together, which simplifies payout thresholds and transfer fees.
Product search still uses each marketplace's own API

Moshimo Affiliate does not provide a product search API. So even with the link method set to Moshimo, searching for products still goes through Rakuten Web Service, your Yahoo! Client ID and the Amazon Creators API.

In other words, Moshimo settings sit on top of the marketplace API settings — they do not replace them. Configure the API for each marketplace you want first.

What you need

ItemWhere it comes from
A Moshimo Affiliate accountMoshimo Affiliate
A partnership with each programmeSame — each programme is applied for separately and reviewed
An “Easy Link” (かんたんリンク) codeSame — available once partnered

Step 1: partner with the programmes

  1. Register at Moshimo Affiliate and add your site.
  2. Apply to the programmes you want:
    • Amazon.co.jp product purchase
    • Rakuten Ichiba
    • Yahoo! Shopping
One marketplace is enough. You can mix Moshimo-routed and directly-routed marketplaces freely.
  3. Wait for approval.

Step 2: generate an Easy Link code

For any partnered programme, create an “Easy Link” HTML snippet for any product at all. The product itself is irrelevant — only the IDs embedded in the code matter.

If you are partnered with several programmes, a single Easy Link snippet usually contains the IDs for all of them, so one import configures everything.

Step 3: import the IDs into Pukulink

Open Moshimo Affiliate integration at the very bottom of Settings > Pukulink > API settings.

  1. Paste the Easy Link code as-is into the text area.
  2. Press Import IDs from the code. The per-marketplace fields fill themselves in.
  3. Press Save settings. Importing alone does not save anything.
The Moshimo Affiliate integration section at the bottom of the API settings tab, with dummy IDs
Paste an Easy Link code, press Import, and the per-marketplace IDs fill in.
The pasted code is not stored Pukulink reads only four values — a_id / p_id / pc_id / pl_id — and never saves the HTML you pasted. You can clear the text area afterwards.

Step 4: switch the link method per marketplace

Entering the IDs is not enough on its own. In each marketplace's section, set Link method to Via Moshimo Affiliate and save.

MarketplaceLink method options
AmazonAmazon Associates (direct) / Via Moshimo Affiliate
Rakuten IchibaRakuten Affiliate (direct) / Via Moshimo Affiliate
Yahoo! ShoppingValueCommerce / Via Moshimo Affiliate

Each marketplace is independent — “Rakuten through Moshimo, Yahoo! still on ValueCommerce” is a perfectly valid setup.

Each marketplace needs a different number of IDs

This is the confusing part. Amazon needs one; Rakuten and Yahoo! need four.

MarketplaceIDs requiredIf any are missing
Amazona_id onlyThe Amazon button does not appear at all
Rakuten IchibaAll four: a_id / p_id / pc_id / pl_idSilently falls back to Rakuten Affiliate links
Yahoo! ShoppingAll four, likewiseSilently falls back to ValueCommerce links

Rakuten and Yahoo! only produce Moshimo links once all four are present. If one is blank, the link quietly reverts to the older method even though the link method says Moshimo. No error is shown, so check with your own eyes that all four fields are filled after importing.

Don't delete your direct-programme IDs They are the fallback when a Moshimo ID is missing. Keep your Rakuten Affiliate ID and your ValueCommerce sid / pid in place even after switching to Moshimo.

If your Amazon application was rejected

Through Moshimo you can show Amazon buttons without an Amazon Associates account. Product search is a separate matter, though.

  • Amazon buttons: yes. Set Link method to Via Moshimo Affiliate and enter a_id.
  • Amazon product search: no. Search requires the Creators API, which is tied to Amazon Associates eligibility (Amazon setup).
  • In practice this means finding products in Rakuten or Yahoo!, inserting them, and letting the Amazon button ride along as a search link. Readers still reach the product through the results page.

For anyone just starting out in affiliate marketing, that is a realistic place to begin.

If something doesn't work

SymptomWhat to check
Pressing “Import IDs from the code” fills in nothingConfirm you pasted an Easy Link snippet. Other link formats may not contain the IDs.
Imported, but nothing changedYou probably did not press Save settings. Importing and saving are two separate actions.
Switched to Moshimo but commissions don't appear thereFor Rakuten and Yahoo!, check that all four IDs are filled. One blank field sends you back to the old method.
The Amazon button is missingVia Moshimo, a_id is required. Without it the button does not render.
Product search doesn't workMoshimo provides no search API. Check each marketplace's own API settings.
